The misuse of drugs and alcohol increases the risk of human error at work which poses a serious threat to personnel safety and the environment. With due respect for individual rights, AIMC has an obligation to counter these threats. Its guidelines apply equally to activities carried out on company premises and to activities carried out elsewhere on the company’s behalf. A detailed guideline on these is in the company manual and is available to all staff.

Faulty driving and defective vehicles are main causes of road accidents which results in injury, death , damage to property and environment, productivity loss and discredit to company image. While respecting individual rights, management has an obligation to counter the risk and has, therefore, instituted this policy to be observed by AIMC employees who drive motor vehicles.
